The winter season is starting most years in the end of
October, when the first Skiing slopes are open.
Ruka Ski Centre has 34 Slopes, easy for beginners as
well as demanding Slopes for professional Skiers.
As soon as the lakes are frozen and we have enough
Snow, there are many more winter activities to choose
from.
Cross Country Skiing, Snow shoe hiking and Husky
Safaris bringing you closer to the Nature of Finnish
Lapland.
Snow Scooter driving and Ice Rallies on the lakes and
land tracks, are a highlight for all Motorsport fans!
All lakes and most of the rivers are frozen in winter, but
still it is possible to go ice fishing as well as net fishing.
